Sikora III (“Mike”) is the Managing Partner of Sikora Law LLC\, a boutique law firm that handles litigation\, transactional\, and economic development matters for real estate companies throughout Ohio. Mike and his firm have won 40 appellate cases that have made favorable real estate law on 30 subjects. Mike is also the President of Omni Title LLC\, which handles commercial real estate transactions throughout Ohio. \nThe Ohio State Bar Association Real Property Section named Mike a member of its Section Council in 2010\, and he is the Chair of the Legislative Drafting Committee and Past Chair of the Real Property Section Council. In his capacity as member of the Ohio State Bar Association Real Property Section Council\, Mike has led several major legislative initiatives to improve Ohio real property law. He has drafted or been involved in drafting thirteen bills that have become Ohio real property statutes. Mike has testified as an expert for the Ohio State Bar Association and CREDA (formerly NAIOP) before the Ohio General Assembly on multiple subjects dealing with Ohio real property law. \nMike has been named an Ohio Super Lawyer or Super Lawyer Rising Star thirteen times. In 2005\, he received the Ohio Land Title Association President’s Award for his outstanding contributions to that Association. He was named Outstanding Member of the Northern Ohio Chapter of CREDA in 2008\, and he received NAIOP Northern Ohio’s Industry Recognition Award in 2021. Mike served as President of the Ohio Land Title Association from 2010-2011 and served on the Ohio Land Title Association Board of Trustees. Mike has been a member of the Title Counsel of the American Land Title Association since 2014. Mike served as President of CREDA Ohio and the Northern Ohio Chapter of CREDA\, and he has been on the CREDA Board of Trustees since 2008. \nMike attended The Ohio State University\, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Major in Finance. While at Ohio State\, he worked for Buckeye Real Estate Property Management and later for Pizzuti Realty. Mike then attended law school at Capital University Law School\, where he graduated magna cum laude. He was recognized with numerous scholarly honors\, including Outstanding Oral Advocate\, Moot Court Champion\, Order of the Curia\, and served as Chief Justice of the Moot Court Board. He was also a member of Capital University’s National Moot Court Team and was published in the Law Review. \nMike has been the Editor of Ohio Real Property Law and Practice that is published by LexisNexis since 2017.
