At the Akron Cleveland Association of REALTORS® Annual Meeting, two individuals were recognized for their exceptional volunteer work and community service that makes our real estate community truly special.
Good Neighbor Award: Steve Mosholder
The Good Neighbor Award identifies and recognizes REALTORS® who have made an extraordinary impact on their community, on the national or world stage, through charitable and volunteer work. This year’s recipient, Steve Mosholder, exemplifies what it means to show up when others need help most.
Steve donated his time this year traveling to North Carolina to help Hurricane Ian victims rebuild their homes and businesses. His hands-on commitment to helping those affected by natural disaster reflects the values that define the best of our profession.
In recognition of Steve’s service, he will receive a $1,000 donation to the charity of his choice from the #HomeForAll Community Fund.
Affiliate of the Year: Marie Demio
Marie Demio has made volunteer service a cornerstone of her life, dedicating countless hours to organizations and causes that strengthen our community. Her involvement spans a remarkable range of initiatives:
- Special Olympics Holiday Breakfast
- Cleveland Food Bank
- Chamber of Commerce Breakfast on the Bridge
- Lemonade Stand at Rib Fest
- Cleveland Angels – serving as both sponsor and volunteer
Beyond her community work, Marie serves on ACAR’s Community Outreach Council and considers herself lucky to be on the screening committee for the #HomeForAll Grant, where she has met so many incredible people and the nonprofits they work for and, in many cases, created. Marie also serves on the RPAC Auction Committee.
Congratulations to our Good Neighbor and Affiliate of the Year Award winner!
