#HomeForAll
Advocacy & Outreach#HomeForAll Community Fund
The real estate community has a long tradition of giving back to others in need. Our mission is to support our community through financial donations to housing-related charities. We are committed to the welfare and prosperity of the communities where we live and work. Through our charitable contributions and member involvement, we strive to help create more productive and enriched communities.
- ACAR’s #HomeForAll movement advocates removing barriers to homeownership such as Point of Sale Inspections and Escrow requirements.
- ACAR’s #HomeforAll supports local efforts that support and promote homeownership, including education programs, homebuyer incentives, homeowner incentive programs, and other tools designed to help homeowners.
- ACAR is a community partner, providing funding and volunteers for various placemaking projects such as pocket parks, alley activations, pedestrian plazas, road diet demonstrations, and more.
- ACAR supports a local government’s authority to systematically inspect the exterior only of all residential units (not just those for sale or rent) located in that city’s jurisdiction to ensure that our neighborhoods are maintained safely.
- REALTORS® support holding all property owners accountable for maintaining property(s) in accordance with existing regulations, but we do not support subjecting a select segment of property owners – investment property owners – to onerous and costly governmental inspection and registration, as it is unfair and discourages investment in communities.
- ACAR creates and supports efforts to help buyers and sellers of all cultural backgrounds receive equal professional real estate services. Further, we collaborate with organizations to create an environment of inclusion to learn from and celebrate our differences.
- ACAR advocates on behalf of small business owners on items such as protecting the deductibility of the Business Income Deduction and other tax policies, as well as on national issues such as flood insurance, health care reform, GSE reform, and preservation of tax benefits for homeownership & real estate investment.
