Every six years, counties in Ohio are required by state law to reappraise the properties located within its jurisdiction. In 2023, Summit County property owners went through this process and saw increases of around 30% – 35%. This year, Cuyahoga County and Portage County property owners will go through a similar process.
The Cuyahoga County Fiscal Office has released information on what owners should expect. Additionally, there are many opportunities for owners to attend community sessions about the process.
