ACAR’s Advocacy Department, in partnership with the Legislative Committee, is calling on REALTORS® who work in Maple Heights to support an important local policy that helps promote housing stability and homeownership.
Several years ago, the City of Maple Heights waived the escrow requirement associated with its Point of Sale inspection for owner-occupant buyers. Since then, City Council has renewed the waiver annually — allowing more buyers to successfully navigate the purchase process and remain in their homes. However, the waiver expired at the end of 2025.
The Mayor plans to reintroduce legislation in early February to extend the waiver once again. To strengthen this effort, we are seeking REALTORS® and clients who can share firsthand experiences about how the escrow waiver has made a positive impact.
Your stories matter. Personal examples help City Council understand how this policy supports buyers, sellers, and the overall housing market in Maple Heights.
