Get Involved: Get ready to apply for an ACAR Committee, Council, or Forum in 2027

One of the most rewarding ways to maximize your ACAR membership is by becoming actively involved in one of the association’s committees, councils, or forums. Serving in a leadership or volunteer role allows members to contribute their expertise, build meaningful professional relationships, strengthen the real estate industry, and help shape the future of ACAR.

How the Application Process Works

By submitting a completed application, you will be placed on a list of candidates for appointment. Once the incoming ACAR President has made appointments to each group, applicants will be notified and given the opportunity to accept or decline their appointment.

Because interest in participation continues to grow, some groups may receive more applications than available positions. In these cases, applicants who are not immediately appointed may be placed on a waiting list and contacted should an opening become available during the year.

Leadership Appointments

Committee members are appointed by the incoming ACAR President. Committee Vice-Chairs are appointed by the incoming President-Elect and automatically succeed to the Chair position during the following term. All appointments are subject to approval by the ACAR Board of Directors.
