As part of its housing policy overhaul (Residents First) earlier this year, the City of Cleveland’s Certificate of Disclosure will be required for all real property transactions beginning August 1, 2024.
The form will be required for residential, commercial, and industrial properties. Previously, the disclosure form was only required on 1-4 family structures. These updates can be found on the city’s website. Certificates may be requested here: https://aca-prod.accela.com/coc/default.aspx. A copy of the current form is available here. Questions should be directed to CertificateOfDisclosure@clevelandohio.gov.
Again, the Certificate of Disclosure will be required on all real property transactions in the City of Cleveland effective August 1, 2024.
